Gabriel Biase: Cool Rhythms and Upbeat Sounds

The singer- songwriter Gabriel Biase aka KMillion was born the 21st November in Pocos De Caldas, Brazil.  At 6 years of age he moved to the United States with his father and brother. Both of them strongly encouraged him to follow his dreams when Gabriel discovered the guitar.  His ear improved as he enhanced his experience on both the guitar and trumpet while attending school in NJ. Gabriel continued expanding his musical mind while serving in the US Navy and experiencing different cultures along the way.

The style that Gabriel Biase has developed is a branch of American mainstream hip hop that he refers to as Fuse Hop.  He released a well-produced music video for his song ‘The City Is Brighter’ off the album Killing Chameleon.

Recently Biase has produced another video, Runaway, a song taken from his 17-track album Metamorphosis, released through Hypstr Records on iTunes during May 2014.

The production, songwriting, and arrangement combination for this one album is reminiscent of the legendary team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who managed to mix a number of styles, creating hit singles by the dozen. Metamorphosis is truly a journey, just as making and listening to music should be.

It seems Gabriel Biase is moving into richer textures and more mature sounds with the release of his latest album. This project is everything you could expect and more. Biase vocals are rich and smooth as silk and every track is on fire. There isn’t a song I don’t like.

I don’t think it matters what genre of music you most love, this album is great collection of Biase’s works and has an astounding replay value. I love all the cool mellow rhythms but at the same time, the upbeat sounds too.

Like most artists, Biase is obviously influenced by other great artists, yet he manages to make his talent, his own.

In a time where a lot of pop music sounds the same, Gabriel Biase has come back with a bang. Metamorphosis has a dance/pop and neo-soul sound to it. You can sit and let the rhythms move you, dance by yourself or with a loved one, or just groove to it while doing driving in your car.

Gabriel Biase gives you the standard pop appeal, and then proceeds to dress and layer it all up, and then strip it all away again. Finding just the right path to tease your ears!
