Some may say this particular style of music is syrupy, saccharine, musically light and full of stylistic clichés, and they’re probably right, but sometimes … that’s exactly what you need! Sarantos who has successfully attempted nearly every available musical genre, once again moves his flavor 360° with his latest video-single, “Close Your Eyes”.

There is an undeniable energy to this music that captures the attention, moves, motivates and tugs at the heartstrings. I think what I like most about this style is that while it does have some depth, it doesn’t brood and wallow in it. The full-voiced keyboard composition builds and changes, developing a rich, diverse texture. “Close Your Eyes” is great music to play during periods of emotional release and healing. Just listen and look upwards and you’ll find a spot of sunshine to appreciate on any cloudy day.

“Close Your Eyes” possesses both power and strength with striking elegance and calmness. It possess a strong positive message that it holds almost secretly, and that is, to always follow after your dreams and desires -no matter how desperate and dejected you are -and they will eventually become a reality.

The textures, colors and melody are great, and they’re interwoven in a way that’s beyond words. “Close Your Eyes” is enchanting, melodic, and very infectious. Contrary to beliefs about ‘new age’ music, this can be described as the kind of music that makes you ‘move and just not meditate.’ It’s a great expression of achieving ‘emotional survival’ after a tragic experience.

Sarantos was nominated for the 2014 International Music & Entertainment Awards in the categories of “Rock Song of the Year” and “Pop Album of the Year,” kicks off 2015 with work on his sophomore album. This album will reflect the style the fans and fellow musicians felt best-suited to Sarantos as he veers into a classic mixture of 80s rock merged with today’s soft rock and pop music. However before beginning his grind on the genre, Sarantos thought he’d make the first song a New Age one. With his background as a youngster in the church choir, the Enya-type of song with a soothing and relaxing venture is what he wanted to do; hence the track, “Close Your Eyes”.

This is a calm but inspirational relaxing song that is perfect to help erase the stress from your mind, body and soul,” says Sarantos. “I think this is what heaven would sound like. Hopefully on your way to heaven, the angels will be singing this song! I’m so excited to start releasing my sophomore album and I have listened to what the fans want. By the end of this CD, I feel like the fans will know so much more about me. So here we go…”

As usual, 33% of any music-related sales profits from this song are going straight to charity. This time around it’s for Cystic Fibrosis.
