Everybody has stress in their life. Most of us probably have more than we need. We create stress. The pressure of wearing the right clothes, being the best at what we do, the pressure of going out on a new date, the pressure of keeping yourself from getting out of the car and strangling the idiot who just passed you and cut you off in the process. It all adds up to a massive amount of stress. Some of us would choose to disperse that stress in fits of aggression, screaming at the top of our voices or punching someone in the face. Others would rather be cradled and cared for, told that everything’s going to be OK, reassured that the world is not as bad as it may sometimes seem. For those in need of that last form of therapy, Bobby Bofman is here for you.

Bobby Bofman

Singer-songwriter, Bobby Bofman was born and raised just outside of Chicago, Illinois. As a dramatic arts student, Bobby studied dramatic arts under the direction of the late, legendary, Zina Provendie. He has since gone on to becoming a published author – his book “Coffee House Poet” has done well on Amazon and other outlets.

As a performer, Bobby has played in every type of venue, ranging from small intimate coffee houses to football stadiums. Bobby says, “I love to play live because it allows me to make a personal connection with others. You just can’t do that in the recording studio.”

On his latest single, “Happy Rhythm”, Bobby succeeds in connecting to his audience via the airwaves. A common failing of modern recording artists is their propensity to take their own music far too seriously, often to their own detriment.

Bofman, on the other hand, just writes songs, putting the ones he likes onto a single or album, and releasing them. Sometimes they’re sad and introspective and at other times they may be, inspiring and uplifting. “Happy Rhythm” is part of the latter group, and is structured to recharge your internal batteries. Bofman has injected the song with all the appropriate bells and whistles.

From the bright shining horns, to the lush harmonies, and the bouncy beat, “Happy Rhythm” is designed to pick you up from wherever it is you have fallen. Of course the joyous soundscape is further embellished by the infectious melody, and Bobby’s warm and inviting voice. The song eases the listener in with a recognizable rhythm, while the track is full of encouraging lyrics, accompanied by original feel-good fluidity.

It makes you want to kick back on the beach with a chair, an umbrella, and possibly an adult beverage and let the worries of the world slip away! There is probably only about a handful of artists left, who still care about recording cheerful, easygoing songs of this nature, luckily for us Bobby Bofman is one of them.
