Eric Redd began on Soul Train and has parlayed his initial success as a teen-age regular on the show into a four-decade career that includes the 2017 club hit, “Right Time” and the 2010 club hit “Breathe”. Red was once signed to the well-known Jive Records label, where he stayed for two years He has shared the stage with artists such as Ani DiFranco, Sara Lee (of the B-52’s), the Pointer Sisters and KD Lang. While touring, Redd caught the ear of Carrillo Records boss, Rod Carrillo. A collaboration started between Redd and the independent dance music label, which soon resulted in Redd cracking the Billboard Charts with his single “Breathe”. He has since continued to grow his dance music catalog with Carrillo Records, and has worked with house music producers EDX, Eddie Amador, Ralphi Rosario, Liam Keegan, and Fenix. “Push” is Eric Redd’s first solo release of 2019.

“Push” which was recorded by Eric Redd in Panama City and produced by Rod Carrillo, is being played in over 89,000 stores around the United States and has reached the Top25 House Charts on Traxsource.com.

In a world where the music is often projected with jaw-dropping beats, heavy bass and no words, and when there are words, they are usually sung by some sexy diva. However there are a handful of male EDM vocalists breaking the stereotype with their exceptional singing talents. One of them is Eric Redd.

To be honest, Eric Redd is in a league of its own. His voice is very distinct, and you immediately recognize it. Redd has an extended high register which is perfect for propelling high energy dancefloor hits. Redd is equipped with powerful vocal chords to create explosive catchy vocals over a driving beat.

His tone of voice is everything, and when Redd sings he brings everything to the mic. He never lets up. Eric Redd epitomizes consistency – period. He has remained throughout his career incredibly underrated, I feel, and “Push” confirms my sensation.

The Rod Carrillo production bristles with piano-driven funkiness, supported by an underbelly of propulsive percussion, and subtle sprinkles of spicy synth lines. Then Eric Redd breaks into song with a voice unshakable and unmistakable; his singing has the power to make the blind see.

Rod and Eric both share a matchless ability of fusing soul, funk and groove into “Push” in a way that appeals to all music industries. They also have the rare ability to capture the most nuanced of feelings and then channel them into EDM songs with a subtle cathartic power.

“Push” is a funky, euphoric explosion of rhythm and melody, from beginning to end. The production is amazing, and the vocals are fantastic all the way through. Regardless of what kind of music you normally listen too, this is a ‘must have’ spirit lifting work of excellence. “Push” strikes a balance between great writing, compelling vocals and impeccable sound design.
