Kiki, who’s first single, “Sugar Daddy (I Don’t Like It)” was co-written, produced and played by Alex Mark Scott and Ruben LW Bellucca, was born in Lodi (Milan, Italy) and grew up in a humble family living in a little city between Milan and the countryside.

As a child she was very shy, so she began singing cartoon theme songs, alone in her bedroom or out in the fields for the dogs and flowers. She started to listen to music by Michael Jackson, Madonna, B. Springsteen etc., thanks to her older cousins, as her parents didn’t listen to music very much. Her Grandfather also nurtured her interest by playing her Italian music, evergreens and classic music.

When she was 12 a teacher heard her singing and asked her to play the leading actor in a religious musical. She refused as she was too shy! Kiki then started to study in a dance academy and became more self-confident. At the age of 14 she started to hang out with a new group of friends, where she came into contact with other forms of music like rap, rock, grunge, and dance.

At seventeen, and after singing in a karaoke bar, she was asked to join a local band where she began performing songs by Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and Patti Smith among others.

Some years later after performing as lead vocalist with a folk band on a full-time basis, she became frustrated and decided to change her lifestyle, by going back to a traditional job and making music her hobby.

She however continued writing music and lyrics for other artists and for benefits projects, until she finally met up with Alex Mark Scott, a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He fell in love with her voice and ideas, and offered her his services as music producer. Now they’re working together composing, singing, writing, recording music.

The release of “Sugar Daddy” marks their official collaboration. Kiki’s main objective with this release may be to stimulate our cerebral muscles but she just might stimulate you in many other ways too. She’s very naughty here, side-winding into territory more frequently inhabited by the likes of Pink, Britney and Katy Perry. Although the underlying themes of “radically changing her life” and “not wanting to need a sugar daddy”, are serious ones, the song has an uplifting vibe which will ignite your mood and get your hips swaying!

The catchy guitar riffs and solid bass lines keep this pop-rock anthem fired-up, while Kiki’s vocal hooks attempt to reel the listener in. Overall the production has a sweet retro touch, hinting back to the 80’s crunchy rock guitar and heavy snare-snap sound.
