Nominated for “Best Indie Feature 2012” by C-47 Magazine (Houston), Beer & Seed by Bill Cox is a dark comedy about an older student (Veteran) who returns to college for a second chance in life, it doesn’t go as planned. A humorous look at college life and college vice, it contains the comedy hit “I Love the Fat Chicks”.

Life doesn’t always turn out as planned.  Sometimes you want to start over, and that is what this film depicts. It champions the human spirit and is a gift of encouragement to older and younger viewers alike. Beer & Seed is available on Amazon.com, download and rental.

The Older Navy Veteran Student (Bill) is played by Bill Cox.  Somewhat of a stoic “sad-sack” type is hilarious.  He is almost like an intensive Mr Bean type character, yet in his own little world, he is the only sane person in the picture.   I loved that.

“I was excited to watch this feature because the premise alone was quite entertaining to me. I’m happy to report, the film did not disappoint! I appreciated the somewhat gritty, independent production value, which gave the piece a very real tone. I felt like I was right there on campus with these characters. Incredible performances by Andrew Peacock, Ryan Sawyer and the whole cast. The script is well-written with impeccable comedic spacing. I highly recommend Beer & Seed to anyone looking to fill an hour with some great entertainment in support of a refreshing independent spirit.”

Also appearing in the film is Miss Universe Bikini, Jessica Vasquez as the “absolutely stunning” librarian. The producers are quoted as saying “had we known, we would have used her a lot more and she would have worn a lot less”. Look quickly to see her, she’s at the beginning and end of the movie.  Because of scheduling, that was all we could get of her.

Bill Cox, Writer/Producer from Houston, Texas is a professional Event Producer. A Navy Veteran and graduate of Central Michigan University, he uses his experience to achieve a gritty realism in this film.  He can be contacted: wmacox@comcast.net
