Kei-shon-son is moving his game up real fast, day by day and step by step. He is not leaving anything to chance. The man’s a hard worker. We’ve been following his musical career for a while. Reviewed his album releases, listened to his true to life lyrics, all spat out with natural swagger and flow. We’ve told his life story like it is. The hard cold facts of a shy kid growing up, creating his music and personal style in a bedroom, then taking it underground and onto the streets world wide.

Kei-shon-son is an independent rapper who is putting his wares on the line in no uncertain times. His investing in his art and future. He makes his stand against the multi-million dollar major labels and their mainstream cookie cutter, hit making hiphop. He runs the gauntlet between old school and nu-beat, keeping it real all the time, without flinching an eyelid.

Kei-shon-son knows that you gotta get out there, find, grab and enchant your fans if want success. He knows that being good is only half way there, while being better will make you get your share.

So Kei-shon-son is shifting his game up a notch. With the track “Let Live” from the album “Sub-Conscience,” he switches his undivided attention to Youtube and the power of moving pictures.

Working with independent artists and indie music on a daily basis, we know for sure that this is still the ‘weakest’ point for indie artists, when matching their talents with major label counterparts. Whereas over recent years the technical possibilities of home audio recording, in many situations has proved itself to equal pro studio audio recordings, while still keeping things on a tight budget. The same cannot be said of music videos and its production costs.

On the rare occasion there have been videos ingeniously produced on low budgets, but these are the exceptions to the rule. A look around Youtube and Vimeo will testify the fact, that most indie artists, still make poor quality videos in relation to the soundtrack quality.

Recently indie artists have been sitting up and taking notice of the power of video sharing websites. Not only does video enhance your message, giving it more impact, but it is a major tool for making your music and web profile viral. It can be shared and embedded almost anywhere these days. So you get to take your music to the people. But people don’t just take anything everywhere. Especially if it’s of low quality.

Kei-shon-son has been seriously working on his visuals and came up with a video of the song “Let’s Live,” that really does move his game up a twist. The photography, the setting, the storyline and performance is a whole lot better than he has done before and moves him into the much sought after category, of good quality music videos from independent artists.

We applaud the man, in his insistence to move forward, to find a way, maybe even with limited resources, to deliver the best he can.

And that’s the great message that Kei-shon-son delivers to us today, with the production of his latest video, “Let’s Live”.

“Do the best you can!” Kei-shon-son is doing it!

Kei-shon-son…moving up his game with a new video.
