Elevation Falls has already performed as a named band at known festivals in Ireland including ‘Electric Picnic’, ‘Knockanstockan’ and ‘The Vibe For Philo’. They’ve also performed in London (Camden) and ‘Glastonbury Fringe Festival’ where they were warmly received. For 2015 they’ve already been chosen for ‘The Sunflower Festival in Northern Ireland’, ‘Vantastival’ and the ‘Prosperous Festival’, and will also be touring Ireland in the late Spring, coinciding with their release of an extended EP. They’ve recently been selected to perform at the ‘Indie Week Europe Festival’ in Manchester, UK at the end of May 2015, when they will also showcase at a number of venues in London.

Their recent songs ‘Lately’ and ‘Watching Over You’ are now playing over a number of Irish and UK radio stations. So what does all the hype about Elevation Falls truly deliver us? Well, their songs hook you the first time you listen to them -the result of the great guitar riffs, vocals, and beautiful melodies. After that, you begin to hear the creative side of the band. And there is a whole lot going on…

As in any serious rock construction set, the vocals are the centerpieces. If any rock band is even going to be thinking in terms of any sort of success, the lead singer is the key to opening that door, after which the fans will take the time to grasp the potential immenseness of the rest of the band. I’m not telling you this, rock history does!

Hazel Jade has an amazing voice, a powerful combination of melody, melancholy and rage all mixed together. Her deliveries are heartfelt and emotional, but moreover she hits all the right notes, on time…every time. She’s the key and she certainly opens doors! Hazel gives the band that classic retro rock sound that was all the rage with the advent of the Wilson sisters and their group Heart. Just like Nancy and Ann, Hazel’s voice is able to draw you in with fragile emotion, and then jar you to life with 8 bars of unleashed octave power.

To this, add the wall-to-wall sound of the twin guitars that sit somewhere between the legendary Thin Lizzy and the delicacy of Wishbone Ash on their Argus album –the EF guitars are not only hard and crunchy but downright catchy too. The bass is driving, yet tasty, and if it is turned up loud enough, the drums will bang you all across the room.

Elevation Falls may resemble bits and pieces from classic rock, twisted it into a more modern sound, but make no mistake; they are not clones of any other band. They have found their own sound drenched in a great balance between hard rock riffs and musical melody.

A listen to ‘Lately’ and ‘Watching Over You’ will quickly showcase how Hazel Jade’s vocals are infectious, pleasantly different, and commanding, united with a rarely seen energy and passion. Paul David Morrin and Gabriel Grecco are creatively raw, talented guitarists that truly bring powerful elements to this band, subtly accompanied by a phenomenal bassist in Jimmy Carey. All this set against a backdrop of methodical stick-slapping provided by the gifted hands of Marco Barisic.
